ROUTE 2

The second route includes the municipalities of Pozuelo del Rey, Nuevo Baztán, Pezuela de las Torres and Olmeda de las Fuentes.
The route that arises is divided into 4 sections that begin and end in the municipalities mentioned above.
The sections that are proposed are made mostly of dirt roads, although a small section that has to be done by road, so special care should be paid.
The most notable section of this route is known as the Tranche B Path Valmores, which begins and ends in New Baztán.

Section A

Pozuelo del Rey - Nuevo Baztán

Leaving the town of Pozuelo del Rey, on the road to Nuevo Baztán, take the first road off to the right. Approximately 500 meters from the road, the road forks and take the path leading left.
Continue straight and a little later the road becomes a fork, and take back the left. Here we have to climb a small hill that will take us to an area with olive trees. From here you can admire Pozuelo del Rey.
We continue until we cross the line of the path Galiana, which we left. If you continue straight, we Eurovillas Urbanization.
We continue to find the M-219. Here we take the path off to the right, which crosses the Eurovillas urbanization. Hardly is this line to reach the town of Nuevo Baztán.

Section B

Nuevo Baztán - Nuevo Baztán

This is the familiar Valmores Trail, which takes its name from a small valley, the Valley of Valmores, who according to legend, fuel first town in the valley and also the first to be depopulated, and led to the town of Olmeda Fuentes.
The Path of Valmores historic part of New Baztán, at the end of Garden Street, beside the road to Valverde, we find an appropriate notice of the Path.
We will go down this road, which is marked with small beacons, where we see the typical vegetation of oaks and gall.
We will follow the signposted, to suddenly drop to the valley, until the stream of the Vega, which we cross, and through several ponds that dry up in summer only.
Here we see the ruins of the Chapel of Valmores. In the valley, there is a microclimate that makes possible the existence of the best preserved forest of oaks throughout the Community of Madrid.
From here we arrive stream upstream of Pezuela de las Torres, We go to the right, and continue until you cross the road to Nuevo Baztán to Olmeda de las Fuentes, where we took the road from the front.
We reached an area of ​​ruins, from where a path to the left which will Olmeda de las Fuentes.
We go straight to ascend and reach the balcony, just before leaving the stone path and take the road. Here we can stop to rest from the steep rise and enjoy a pleasant view. From here we can see the town of Olmeda de las Fuentes.
Finally, take the left road which will lead directly to Nuevo Baztán.

Section C

Pezuela de las Torres - Nuevo Baztán

We take the dirt road, which leaves just the sign that marks the end of the municipality of Pezuela de las Torres, the road to Olmeda de las Fuentes. We left on our right an animal farm and move on, leaving Pezuela de Las Torres behind us.
We passed through fields of dry crops. Continue straight until you reach a slope where a fountain. Here the path splits in two, take the left path.
From here we move into an area of ​​dense vegetation. The road condition is pretty bad and has a lot of stones, proper footwear are recommended. Arrive at the stream of the Vega, where it joins the Trail Valmores.
At this point take the opportunity to enjoy the natural environment.

Section D

Olmeda de las Fuentes - Nuevo Baztán

We took the road from Romerillos Street in the town of Olmeda de las Fuentes. We went down the street and here we take the dirt road. We cross the road by a small underpass then take the turning to the right. We found up extraordinary views, where we can see the town of Olmeda de las Fuentes.
The climb continues until reaching the Balconcillo, where you can quietly enjoy a nice view.
Finally, we come to the M-219, we take and we left. Here we must be very cautious because the visibility is very low. And remember, if you walk, go on the left side.

Specific Recommendations
